My Federal Way Studio accommodates up to two people.
I began working at age 9 as a paper route carrier for the Daily News/Daily Globe in Auburn, Washington. Getting up at the crack of dawn and riding my bike delivering newspapers, I soon saved up enough to buy a Kodak Star 110 point and shoot.
I loved taking photos and spent my hard-earned money getting my photos developed at the local Pay N Save.
In sixth grade, I took a photography class developing photos in a dark room, but I didn't enjoy it---the smell and the ambiance was not for me. (Digital photos weren't around at that time). It seemed photography was not an option since I didn't like dark rooms.
As an adult, I worked in the business world. During this time, I continued taking photos and having them developed;
photography was always there.
It wasn't until I had my child and became a stay-at-home mom that I found my photography passion.
Digital photos were just becoming popular.
With my Canon point and shoot, I could practice taking photos as much as I wanted. Upon my husband's encouragement, I got a DSLR starter pack from Costco.
I took as many photography classes and workshops as I could find.
I joined a photography club where I started taking photos for other people.
Art and photography have always been with me, they have just taken awhile to fully develop (pun intended).
I found my good side.
Living in a diverse area such as Federal Way, I am inspired by the people I meet every day. I have photographed many different subjects, scenes, and moments. There's art around every corner, and I love photographing it.
We are surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people in the Pacific Northwest. I use my camera to document the world and focus on the magic I find in daily life.
My pictures tell my stories.
And what can I say...I love Word Art 🖍️
I invite you to bring the art of your story as told by my lens into your life and home. The photos we create together are in high resolution, photos not just for social media; they're memories which are made to be printed. Even if you don't buy prints from me, I encourage you to print out your photos and display the artwork of YOU to enjoy and share with your loved ones for years to come.
